The Township of Georgian Bluffs has lowered flags to half-mast in recognition of former long-time Council member Carol Barfoot, who passed away peacefully on Monday December 12, 2022 following a battle with cancer.

At their meeting on December 7, 2022 Georgian Bluffs Council appointed Isaac Shouldice to the vacant Councillor seat.
The seat was left vacant when Councillor-elect Mike Smith resigned for health reasons prior to the inauguration ceremony. Council made the decision to appoint the candidate with the next highest number of votes rather than hold a by-election, as permitted by the Municipal Act. Please be advised that due to the inclement weather over the weekend, Waste Management was unable to complete the full pickup route on Monday, November 21 2022.
For those on the North Keppel route whose pickup was missed today, please leave your waste out and another collection attempt will be made.
