Flags Lowered to Half-Mast in Honour of Carol Barfoot

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has lowered flags to half-mast in recognition of former long-time Council member Carol Barfoot, who passed away peacefully on Monday December 12, 2022 following a battle with cancer.

Please be advised that the Committee of Adjustment meeting scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 13 has been cancelled.
The next Committee of Adjustment meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 17 at 5:00 p.m.

Isaac Shouldice Appointed as Georgian Bluffs Councillor

At their meeting on December 7, 2022 Georgian Bluffs Council appointed Isaac Shouldice to the vacant Councillor seat.
The seat was left vacant when Councillor-elect Mike Smith resigned for health reasons prior to the inauguration ceremony. Council made the decision to appoint the candidate with the next highest number of votes rather than hold a by-election, as permitted by the Municipal Act. The deadline to get your nominations in for Georgian Bluffs’ annual Volunteer Awards has been extended to December 31, 2022.
There are three categories open for nominations:
- Youth Volunteer of the Year
- Senior Volunteer of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year

Missed Waste Pickup Due to Weather

Please be advised that due to the inclement weather over the weekend, Waste Management was unable to complete the full pickup route on Monday, November 21 2022.
For those on the North Keppel route whose pickup was missed today, please leave your waste out and another collection attempt will be made.
Please also remember that parking is prohibited on roadways from November 15 to April 15 each year to allow for snow clearing and waste pickup during the winter months. Vehicles obstructing operations...
