The Georgian Bluffs Township Office will be closing at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 18th due to inclement weather. It will reopen on Monday, November 21st at 9:00 a.m.

Newly elected Councillor Mike Smith has made the difficult decision to resign from the Township of Georgian Bluffs Council prior to inauguration day.
Mike Smith, who was elected to the position of Councillor in October with 1,963 votes, has announced his resignation for health reasons before taking his seat on Township Council.

2023 Georgian Bluffs Calendars Now Available

The 2023 Georgian Bluffs community calendars are now available at Township facilities and businesses across Georgian Bluffs.
The calendars are free to pick up for Georgian Bluffs residents, and feature photos provided by members of the community of some of the best scenic views in the Bluffs. The calendars also include the Township’s waste pickup schedule, payment due dates, and other information on Township services.

Inter Township Fire Department Responds to call on Griffith Island

Just before midnight on Saturday, November 5, the Inter Township Fire Department (ITFD) responded to a call for a structure fire on Griffith Island.
Firefighters and equipment were brought to the island by boat and were able to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries or fatalities, and the cause of the fire is not known at this time.
Griffith Island is home to the Griffith Island Club, a private sport shooting club in operation since 1973.

Celebrate a caring member of the community by nominating them for a volunteer award! The Township of Georgian Bluffs is accepting nominations for Youth Volunteer, Senior Volunteer, and Volunteer of the Year until November 30, 2022.
Georgian Bluffs Council adopted a Volunteer Recognition program in 2021 to show appreciation for the many community members who donate time and effort to making Georgian Bluffs a great place to live.
