Park Improvements

The Township is moving ahead with park improvements in 2025 and 2026, supporting the Recreation and Trails Master Plan, Multi-Year Accessibility Plan, and community feedback.

Sarawak Family Park

Following years of improvements, 2026 will bring:

• A new, fully accessible play structure with a rubberized surface

• Expanded, natural-surface overflow parking

• Tree planting to replace ash trees

• Additional seating and landscape enhancements

Kemble Athletic Fields

A new play area is will include:

• Relocation of the Sarawak Park play structure to the Kemble Athletic Field

• A natural-surface parking area will be created

• Seating and landscaping will be included

Local fundraising is ongoing to support and enhance this project.

Budget and Funding

• Total Budget: $975,000, 50% funded through the Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund.

Timeline

Note: For the safety of the public and construction crews, portions of the parks may be temporarily closed or have restricted access during construction. Residents are asked to follow all posted signage and stay clear of active work areas. Access to the beach at Sarawak Park will be maintained throughout the project, with the exception of a few short disruptions that will be posted in advance.
