Significant Weather Event Declared

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has declared a significant weather event due to forecasted and/or observed weather conditions. The declaration is to notify the public that due to the current or forecasted conditions, caution is to be observed when travelling on roads maintained by the Township of Georgian Bluffs, and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads back to a state of repair.

Please use caution and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination. The significant weather event remains in effect until the event is declared to be over.

Notice: Georgian Bluffs Office Closure and Waste Collection Delays – January 27, 2025

UPDATE: 2:15 P.M. - All Georgian Bluffs Arenas will be closing for the remainder of the afternoon, and all programming has been cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.

January 27, 2025 - 10:45 a.m.

Due to forecasted weather conditions, the Georgian Bluffs Administration Office will close at 1:00 p.m. today, Monday, January 27. Waste collection is also delayed and may not be completed as scheduled. Trucks will continue operating as long as conditions allow.

Please report any missed collections through Contact GB, or by calling 519-376-2729. Updates regarding make-up collection will be shared as soon as they are available.

While programming at the Shallow Lake, Kilsyth, and Kemble arenas is currently proceeding as scheduled, this may change depending on weather conditions. Please check the Township’s website and social media channels for the latest updates before travelling.

We urge everyone to prioritize safety, avoid unnecessary travel, and check in on friends and neighbours during this weather event.
