Looking for a way to share your ideas and get involved in local governance? A seat on Georgian Bluffs Council is now open, and applications are being accepted until Wednesday, October 9, 2025.
Following the resignation of Councillor Ryan Thompson, who has been appointed as the Township’s new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Council has chosen to fill the vacancy by appointment. The successfull applicant will sit on Georgian Bluffs Council until the end of the current Council term. The next Municipal and School Board election will take place in October of 2026.
Who Can Apply?
You are eligible to apply if you:

Are at least 18 years old

Are a Canadian citizen
-
Live in Georgian Bluffs, or own/rent property here (or are the spouse of someone who does)

Are not prohibited from voting or holding office under the law
