Washroom Renovations

As part of our commitment to accessibility and improving community facilities, renovations are planned for the washrooms at Shallow Lake Arena and the ball diamond park in 2025.

Shallow Lake Arena Washrooms

The existing ground floor washrooms in the foyer will be reconfigured into a gender-neutral space, with improved accessibility features. The former referee changing room—already updated for accessibility—will be transformed into a fully accessible washroom and change area, complete with a shower and adult changing table.

Seasonal Ball Diamond Washrooms

The washroom block serving the ball diamond and park users will be modernized and converted into accessible, gender-neutral facilities. Infant change tables will also be added. These washrooms will remain seasonal, and if budget allows, the exterior of the building will be refreshed.

Budget and Funding

• Approved 2025 Budget: $400,000

• Additional Funding: The Township has applied for grants to cover up to 50% of the cost.

Timeline

Second-floor washrooms in the arena will remain open during construction.
