What to Expect

Morning Festivities at the Big Bay Dock

Start your Canada Day with a relaxing and joyful morning at the Big Bay dock. Activities include:

• 8:00a.m. Yoga on the Pier: Begin the day with a calming yoga session led by Julie Bradley-Low, CYT, of Stonegrove Farm & Wellness Studio as the sun rises over the bay.
• 9:00a.m. Flag Raising Ceremony: Celebrate the pride of being Canadian with the singing of O Canada and greetings from local dignitaries.
• 9:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. Pancake Breakfast: Enjoy a delicious breakfast provided by Heat N Eat with stunning views of Georgian Bay.
• 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Balloon Animals: Kids can get creative and playful with colourful designs and fun characters.
• 9:00a.m. -12:00p.m. Inter Township Fire Department Fire Truck: Kids can explore a real fire truck up close and meet local firefighters.

We encourage everyone to consider biking, walking, or carpooling to Big Bay Dock. With limited space available and a beautiful natural setting, arriving sustainably is a great way to help reduce congestion and keep our shoreline clean and welcoming for all.

Explore Georgian Bluffs

Spend your Canada Day discovering the beauty of Georgian Bluffs. With parks, trails, and scenic lookouts, there are endless ways to enjoy the outdoors. Favourite activities include:

• Hiking, kayaking, or picnicking by the shore.
• Visiting local attractions such as Keppel Croft Gardens, the Kemble Women’s Institute Lookout, and Skinner's Bluff.
• Taking time to reflect at the Ajiijak Indigenous Art Project.

Evening Entertainment and Fireworks

Celebrate Canada Day with music, food, and fireworks in the evening at Cobble Beach! The schedule typically includes:

• Live Music: Enjoy local performances in the afternoon and evening, often held at Cobble Beach.
