Electricity Meter Replacements

Starting in August 2026, Hydro One will begin to replace electricity meters in Georgian Bluffs communities with assistance from Honeywell. There is no cost to residents for these replacements and installations. Residents will be contacted directly prior to work. 

Why the Replacements are Important:

• Electricity meters play an essential role in delivering a reliable and dependable power supply
• With growing electricity needs, the upgrades will modernize the electricity system to support future energy demands
• New meters will provide improved outage detection capabilities to enable faster and more efficient power restoration

To complete this work, Hydro One's contractor, Honeywell, will be assisting with meter installations to ensure a smooth and efficient transition. 

Customers will receive direct notification from Hydro One prior to their meter replacement.
