Arena Closure - January 23, 2026
The Shallow Lake Arena will be closed the evening of January 23, 2026 due to the weather. All programming and activities have been cancelled.
Your safety is our top priority! Please avoid unnecessary travel and check in on neighbors during this cold and snowy weather.
Waste Pickup Missed Due to Winter Weather
Due to winter weather conditions, waste collection will not be completed in parts of the Township on Monday, January 19, and Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
Crews were not able to complete all scheduled pickups on the scheduled routes. Recollection will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Please place your waste at the roadside before 7 a.m. to ensure Waste Management will be successful in recollection.

If you live outside the areas noted above and your waste was also not picked up, please report it through Contact GB so we can follow up with the service provider.

Grey Road 1 at Kemble Rock Road, Kemble
Take the scenic route along Grey Road 1 and stop at the Kemble Women’s Institute Scenic Lookout. This is a must-see view of Georgian Bay and the Niagara Escarpment. This parkette is a memorial to the members of the Kemble Women’s Institute and celebrates the organizations 110th anniversary.
