Brittany Drury Appointed Interim CAO for Georgian Bluffs

Georgian Bluffs Council has appointed Brittany Drury as Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), effective immediately, following the departure of former CAO Niall Lobley, who has accepted the role of Deputy CAO with Grey County.

Drury brings over nine years of experience in senior leadership at Georgian Bluffs, most recently serving as Deputy CAO and Director of Corporate Services. She has played a key role in developing and delivering strategic initiatives in legislative services, finance, human resources, emergency management, and communications. Drury previously held the position of Director of Corporate Services and Clerk, and also served as Interim CAO from 2021 to early 2022.

“We’re pleased to welcome Brittany into the Interim CAO role,” said Mayor Sue Carleton. “Her knowledge of the organization, collaborative leadership style, and deep understanding of our community will ensure a smooth transition as we move forward.”

Council has begun the recruitment process for a permanent CAO, with the job posting issued and a closing date for applications of June 15, 2025. In the meantime, Drury will lead the Township’s operations and continue to work closely with Council, staff, and community stakeholders to maintain strong service delivery and organizational stability.
