At an exciting and busy time of year, Georgian Bluffs is reminding residents and visitors that students, teachers, and school staff will be returning to classrooms in the area beginning Tuesday, September 8. Motorists are reminded that reduced speed limits are in effect in designated school zone areas and to be extra diligent on the roads.
Georgian Bluffs is commemorating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30 by flying Every Child Matters flags throughout the month of September. Flying the flag symbolizes the Township's ongoing support for truth, reconciliation, and remembrance.
Every Child Matters flags will be flown at three key locations in Georgian Bluffs: Township Administrative Office on Grey Road 18, Shallow Lake Arena on Highway 6/Princess Street, and the Kemble Women's Institute lookout on Grey Road 1.
Waste Management was not able to complete the scheduled pickup in parts of the Township on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 due to a medical situation.
The following missed areas have been noted, and will be recollected on Thursday, August 27, 2026, weather permitting.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and reliable water supply, the Ontario Clean Water Agency will be conducting annual fire hydrant flushing and testing from August 24 to September 18, 2026, in the Shallow Lake area.
As part of routine maintenance and best practices in water system management, the water mains in Pottawatomi Village will be flushed to help improve water quality. Over time, naturally occurring sediment can accumulate within watermains due to low water velocities. Flushing increases water velocity and helps remove these accumulated sediments.

Back by popular demand, Georgian Bluffs’ Second Annual Farm Crawl will take place on August 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Featuring six local farms, each stop offers its own unique experience from smelling delightful lavender fields to seeing a bison up close.
Grab your overalls and goggles because the Minions are coming to Georgian Bluffs for another exciting Outdoor Movie Night. Families are invited to enjoy a free screening of the beloved animated hit Despicable Me on Friday, August 14 at the Balmy Beach Baseball Diamond.
Hydro One would like to inform residents of Georgian Bluffs that in the coming weeks electricity meter replacement work will begin in the community at no cost to residents.
