Georgian Bluffs Hosting Planting Bee and Pride Flag Ceremony May 31, 2025

Georgian Bluffs is inviting community members of all ages and gardening experience levels to roll up their sleeves and join in a fun and rewarding morning of planting and learning.

On Saturday, May 31, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the Township will host a Planting Bee and Gardening Workshop at the Township Administrative Office (177964 Grey County Rd 18, Owen Sound). Participants will help create a vibrant new pollinator garden, designed to support local biodiversity and add a splash of colour to the Township grounds.

Lunch will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to bring a labeled shovel if they have one, though a limited number will be available to share. The event is free to attend, but registration is encouraged through Eventbrite to help organizers prepare for lunch numbers.

Community partners including Hutten & Co. and other local gardening groups will be on site with information and resources for anyone looking to dig deeper into gardening.

At 11 a.m., attendees are invited to gather at the flagpole for a Pride Flag Raising Ceremony, celebrating diversity and inclusion in Georgian Bluffs as Pride Month begins.

Join us to plant, learn, connect, and help our community grow, one flower at a time. For more information, or to register your attendance, visit www.georgianbluffs.ca/plantingbee.
