Waste Pickup Missed Due to Winter Weather

Due to winter weather conditions, waste collection will not be completed in parts of the Township on Monday, January 19, 2026.

Crews are not able to complete all scheduled pickups in the North Keppel and South Keppel routes. Recollection will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026. Please place your waste at the roadside before 7 a.m. to ensure Waste Management will be successful in recollection.

We appreciate your patience as crews work safely in winter conditions, and thank you for your cooperation.

Significant Weather Event Declared

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has declared a significant weather event due to forecast and/or observed weather conditions. The declaration is to notify the public that due to the current or forecasted conditions, caution is to be observed when travelling on roads maintained by the Township of Georgian Bluffs, and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads back to a state of repair.

Please use caution and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination. The significant weather event remains in effect until the event is declared to be over.

Notice: Georgian Bluffs Office Closure

Due to current and forecast weather conditions, the Georgian Bluffs Administration Office is closed as of 3:00 p.m. today, Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Programming at Township arenas, including in Shallow Lake, Kilsyth, and Kemble, has been cancelled and the arenas will also close at 3:00 p.m.

We urge everyone to prioritize safety, avoid unnecessary travel, and check in on friends and neighbours during this weather event.
