Notice: Speed Limit Lowered on Concession 24 and Zion Church Road

Georgian Bluffs is lowering the speed limit from 80 km/h to 60 km/h along Zion Church Road and Concession 24 in the Oxenden area of the Township.

This change affects Zion Church Road from Grey Road 1 to Concession 21, and Concession 24 to the East of Side Road 20.

The decision follows resident feedback and a detailed review by Township staff. These rural roads have limited sightlines and a growing number of driveways, pedestrians, and cyclists. Reducing the speed helps make the area safer for everyone — drivers, walkers, and families alike.

Speed signage is now in place in these locations and enforceable. This update aligns with road safety measures and reflects the Township’s commitment to proactive traffic safety and community well-being.
