Notice – Water Service Disruption

An unplanned disruption to water service has occurred in the Oxenden water system. Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) crews are actively working to restore service as soon as possible.

Following restoration, some residents may notice aeration (tiny air bubbles) in the water, which can cause a milky or cloudy appearance, as well as temporary discoloration due to naturally occurring sediment being disturbed in the watermains. These conditions are normal after a service interruption and do not pose a health risk.

What you can do:

  • Run cold water taps for several minutes until the water runs clear.
  • Avoid using hot water until cold water runs clear, to prevent sediment from entering the hot water tank.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as OCWA crews work to restore full service as quickly and safely as possible.
