Partial Burn Ban Lifted

The Inter Township Fire Department has lifted the partial open air burn ban, effective immediately, following recent improvements in weather and ground conditions.

We would like to thank residents for their patience and cooperation during the ban. By choosing not to burn during the high-risk period, you helped reduce the risk of wildfires and kept our community safe.

As a reminder, all open-air burning—including campfires, fire pits, brush burning, and agricultural burns—requires a valid Burn Permit. Permits are free and available online at georgianbluffs.burnpermits.com.

If you are planning to burn:

  • Always check the current fire rating before lighting a fire
  • Keep your fire small, supervised, and controlled
  • Have water, a shovel, or a fire extinguisher nearby at all times
  • Never leave a fire unattended

Fire safety is a shared responsibility. Thank you for doing your part to protect our community.
