Share Your thoughts on the Future of Sideroad 3 Bridge

Georgian Bluffs wants to hear from you about the future of the Sideroad 3 Bridge. A short online survey is now open for your input.

Sideroad 3 Bridge, built in 1925, is located between Grey Bruce Line and Concession 11. It has been closed since 2018 because it is no longer safe. A condition Assessment found that the concrete is cracked, the foundation is exposed, and the walls are shifting. Engineers have said the bridge cannot be repaired.

The Township is doing an Environmental Assessment to decide what to do next. Options include removing the bridge, replacing it, or keeping it closed. Each option will be reviewed for safety, cost, environmental impacts, and how it affects the community.

The bridge crosses Keady Creek, which flows into the Sauble River. It is in a protected area managed by the Grey Sauble Conservation Authority. The bridge is also part of a snowmobile trail that supports local tourism and recreation.

Your feedback will help the Township choose the best solution for safety, cost, and the environment. The survey is now open at www.engagegb.ca/sideroad-3-bridge. On the site, you’ll also find more information about the project and the options being considered.
