The Significant Weather Event declared on January 2, 2025 has now ended. 

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has declared a significant weather event due to forecasted and/or observed weather conditions.

The sport of pickleball is growing fast in Georgian Bluffs and beyond. Pickleball is said to be the fastest growing sport in North America, and community members recognized the demand.

Due to weather delays, waste collection was missed in the following areas on Monday, December 23, 2024:

• Lakeview Drive
• Concession 3
• Francis Drive
• Concession 5A

The collection has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 28, 2024.

As the end of the year approaches, Georgian Bluffs would like to provide information about holiday office hours, changes to the waste pickup schedule, and special facility hours for skating and pickleball.

Georgian Bluffs is pleased to announce the installation of a second columbarium at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, adding more eternal resting spaces to this scenic and peaceful setting.

Georgian Bluffs invites the community to celebrate the start of 2025 at the Mayor and Council New Year’s Levee on Sunday, January 5, at the Shallow Lake Community Centre. The event will feature a free public skate and refreshments, running from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

We remain under a Blizzard Warning this morning in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. A significant weather event was also declared yesterday and remains in place.

Effective 8:30 a.m. all Township facilities are closed for the day. This closure includes the Township Administration Offices in Springmount, Shallow Lake Arena and all other Township Community Centres.
