The Township invites all residents of Georgian Bluffs to our second annual Engage GB: Connect and Collaborate event, where your voice and experiences can directly influence the decisions that shape our vibrant community. This year's event will take place at Grey Roots Museum on June 18, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs is exploring the possibility of an off-leash dog park, and we want to hear from you! This project could provide a new outdoor play area for residents and visitors, and their furry friends.

The Township, following a proposal to Council from the Shallow Lake Village Improvement Committee, is considering building a dog park to provide a safe and fun environment for dogs to play and socialize. It would also offer a space for dog owners to meet, fostering a stronger sense of community. This new addition could enhance our recreational facilities and contribute to the well-being of our residents and their pets.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs is renewing our waste services contract, and we want to hear from you! We currently contract a third-party provider for weekly curbside garbage collection and bi-weekly blue box recycling. As this is one of our most important municipal services, and with the contract set to expire in 2025, we need your input to shape its future.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs invites you to explore the future of sustainable living through the Greener Homes Tour. Join us on June 16^th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and embark on a self-guided journey through some of the most innovative and eco-efficient residences in our community.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs will hold a public meeting on June 5, 2024, at 5:00 PM in the Council Chambers to discuss proposed updates to the Official Plan. This meeting, held in accordance with Sections 17 and 26 of the Planning Act, provides an opportunity for the public to offer comments and feedback on the draft Official Plan.

As the warm weather returns, residents and visitors of Georgian Bluffs are heading outdoors to enjoy the trails and take scenic drives throughout the Township. To ensure everyone’s safety, all road and trail users are reminded to follow the rules and be considerate of others.

Public Works Week, celebrated from May 19 to 25, 2024, recognizes and celebrates the important services our public works team provide each and everyday. In the Township of Georgian Bluffs our dedicated staff provide services including keeping roads safe to travel throughout the year, managing parks, public spaces and tree canopy and ensuring facilities are available for community use.

The Township is now applying maintenance gravel on select roads in Georgian Bluffs within the former Keppel Township. This essential maintenance work is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.

At their meeting this evening, Georgian Bluffs Council was presented with the latest Bi-annual Report – a summary of the significant accomplishments from the second half of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024, along with an outlook on upcoming initiatives for the remainder of the year.
