    Mayor Delegates Strong Mayor Powers Back to Council and CAO

    Mayor Sue Carleton has formally delegated key strong mayor powers granted under the Municipal Act, returning authority over organizational structure, hiring decisions, and committee appointments to the appropriate municipal bodies.

  • Notice: Surface Treatment on Concession 24

    Surface treatment work will take place on Concession 24 between Centre Road and Zion Church Road during the next two weeks, weather permitting. The 6.2-kilometre stretch of roadway will receive a single surface treatment to help strengthen and preserve the road for long-term use.

    Cooling Centres Open to Help Georgian Bluffs Beat the Heat

    With temperatures climbing across the region, Georgian Bluffs is encouraging everyone to take steps to stay cool and safe from the heat. The Shallow Lake Community Centre (SLCC) will be open as a designated cooling centre during operating hours.

    The City of Owen Sound and the Township of Georgian Bluffs are proud to congratulate Firefighter Jay Gow of the Owen Sound Fire & Emergency Services, along with two members of the Inter-Township Fire Department, on receiving the prestigious Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Commissioner’s Citation for Lifesaving.

    Notice: Water Service Disruption – June 12, 2025

    Residents in the Presqu’ile area of Georgian Bluffs are advised of a planned water service disruption on Thursday, June 12, 2025, between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., due to essential repairs to the Presqu’ile Booster Station water trunk main.

    Longest Day of Play Brings Summer Fun to Georgian Bluffs

    Georgian Bluffs invites families and community members to come together for a full day of outdoor fun as the Township hosts its first-ever Longest Day of Play at Sarawak Family Park on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The event will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and features a wide variety of free activities for all ages in celebration of the start of summer.

    This summer, Georgian Bluffs is rolling out the mat for Yoga in the Park, a new series of free outdoor yoga sessions designed to get residents moving, breathing, and enjoying the fresh air.
