Back to School Reminder to Slow Down and Stay Alert

At an exciting and busy time of year, Georgian Bluffs is reminding residents and visitors that students, teachers, and school staff will be returning to classrooms in the area beginning Tuesday, September 8.

Motorists are reminded that reduced speed limits are in effect in designated school zone areas and to be extra diligent on the roads. With the start of the school year, drivers can expect increased traffic, school buses on local roads, and more pedestrians and cyclists travelling to and from school. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and exercise caution in and around school zones.
