Fraudulent Emails Requesting Payments

Georgian Bluffs is aware of fraudulent emails circulating, particularly those imitating our Planning Department and requesting extra planning fee payments.

We encourage residents to remain cautious as these emails may appear legitimate and imitate municipal information. However, Georgian Bluffs will never request payment through an e-transfer or wire transfer.  Cheques and walk in traffic is always welcome at our Admin Office. Emails from our municipal staff will end in @georgianbluffs.ca.

If you have any doubts about the legitimacy of an email or payment request, please contact us directly using authentic contact information available on our website.

Flags Lowered to Half-Mast Following Tragedy at CFB Wainwright

By Township of Georgian Bluffs - Oct 19, 2026

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has lowered all flags to half-mast following the tragedy at Canadian Forces Base Wainwright, Alberta this past weekend.

Flags located at the Township Office, Shallow Lake Community Centre, and Kemble Women’s Institute Lookout will remain at half-mast this week to respect and remember the Canadian Armed Forces members who lost their lives on October 17.

Our thoughts and condolences are with all Canadians across the country during this difficult time.
