Georgian Bluffs’ Road Renewal Program Underway

Delivering on Georgian Bluffs’ $1.5 million investment in road improvements this year, selected streets will be paved across the Township later this month.  Work is being done by Kon-Strutt Construction and is expected to begin in mid-October, weather permitting.

Road construction projects are selected through the Township's asset management and capital planning processes, which evaluate road conditions, lifecycle needs, safety considerations, and available funding. Each year, priority projects are completed as part of an ongoing program to maintain and improve roads across the municipality.

What Residents Can Expect

Work will begin with removal of the existing road surface, followed by grading, compaction and paving. Residents should be aware that there may be several days between surface removal and paving activities and patience is appreciated.

While full road closures are not anticipated, traffic control personnel will be on-site to direct traffic and help ensure safe travel through construction zones.  Access to resident properties will be available at all times but please expect delays.

Waste collection services will continue as scheduled. Residents are asked to continue placing their carts at the roadside by 7 a.m. on collection day.
