Kemble Intersection Project Nearing Completion with Final Culvert Replacement Work
The Township of Georgian Bluffs is pleased to share that the majority of construction work associated with the Kemble intersection improvement project has been completed.
Following the successful removal and replacement of the main roadway culvert earlier this summer, work will continue beginning Tuesday, October 13 (weather permitting). Crews are expected to undertake culvert replacements on a short section of Concession 20, west of the intersection with Kemble Rock Road. These culvert replacements are necessary to improve drainage, ensure long-term infrastructure reliability, and enhance public safety.
To safely complete this work, Concession 20 will be closed from the Kemble Rock Road intersection to approximately 160 metres west. The closure is expected to remain in place until the end of the month, weather and site conditions permitting.
There will be no through traffic permitted during the closure. However, access to properties located within the closure area will be maintained for the duration of the project.
We appreciate the patience and understanding shown throughout construction. These improvements will help support a safe and reliable transportation network for years to come.
