Notice: Kemble Culvert Replacement Project Construction Work Underway
Residents and motorists are advised that construction work for the Kemble Culvert Replacement Project is now underway in Kemble.
The project involves the removal and replacement of the main roadway culvert to improve drainage, ensure long-term infrastructure reliability, and enhance public safety. The new culvert is designed to meet modern standards to improve current drainage in Kemble, and accommodate higher water flows caused by climate change, helping reduce flood risks.
The intersection of Kemble Rock Road and Concession 20 will be closed to through traffic starting Thursday, July 9, and remain closed until early September 2026. Local access will be maintained for residents and emergency services, and detour signage will be in place. The official detour route can be found on the Township’s Capital Projects webpage at georgianbluffs.ca/capitalprojects, and on Municipal511.
Residents may experience temporary traffic disruptions, reduced speed limits, lane restrictions, increased construction vehicle activity, and periodic noise associated with the work.
Motorists are encouraged to follow all posted signs, exercise caution when travelling through the construction zone, and allow additional travel time where necessary.
The Township appreciates the public's patience and cooperation while this important infrastructure improvement is completed.
