Notice: Oxenden Drinking Water System Leak Detection Exercise Next Week

Location: Oxenden Drinking Water Distribution System in Township of Georgian Bluffs
Dates: Monday, September 21 to Tuesday, September 22, 2026

In an effort to locate possible leaks within the Oxenden Drinking Water Distribution System, operators will be isolating sections of the water distribution system by throttling water main valves.

This leak detection exercise will take place between 11:00 p.m. on Monday, September 21 and 4:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22. During this time, residents may experience reduced water pressure or temporary fluctuations in water pressure within the distribution system.

If you experience discoloured water, run cold water from all faucets for 4 to 5 minutes, or until the water runs clear. Avoid using hot water or doing laundry until the water is clear.
