Waste Management have advised that they have had to cease collections on Monday February 17th due to worsening weather conditions, poor visibility and drifting snow.

The Georgian Bluffs Council meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, 2025, will be held fully virtually, with no in-person participation in Council Chambers, due to the forecasted weather.
The meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will be live-streamed as always on our YouTube channel at www.youtube.com/@georgianbluffscouncil, allowing you to stay engaged from the comfort of your home. The agenda for the meeting is available on our Council Portal.

The Significant Weather Event issued on Monday, January 27 has now been lifted, and all closed roads have been reopened.
Our plow operators continue working hard to manage the impacts of winter weather following more overnight snowfall and continued strong winds. While route completion was slightly slower due to the past few days of heavy accumulation, all routes were completed.
Thank you for your patience and understanding today as we worked to address the impacts of this week’s high snowfall and blowing snow. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated plow operators, who have been working hard since 2 a.m. to make our roads accessible and safe.
Due to the significant snowfall and blowing snow on Monday, January 27, waste collection on the following roads was missed. A make-up collection will take place on Saturday, February 1. Please ensure all waste and recycling is placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, and to keep bins clear of snowbanks and roadways to ensure efficient collection.
