Georgian Bluffs is excited to announce the upcoming installation of Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Stations at several locations across the Township. These stations will be situated in public spaces including the Shallow Lake Arena, Sarawak Family Park, and the Township Administrative Offices. Additional chargers will be installed at community centres and other public spaces over the coming months.

Please be advised that a small number of properties on Grey Road 1 between Wiarton and Zion Church Road had their waste collection missed on Monday, August 5.

Pack a picnic, grab your camera and embark on a self guided waterfall tour in the Township of Georgian Bluffs. The Bluffs is fortunate to be home to three beautiful waterfalls, Inglis Falls, Indian Falls and Jones Falls. These three flows are relatively close to each other, and your desired route may vary depending on where your adventure starts and finishes or any other stops you plan to make in between. Here’s an idea of how a self guided waterfall tour in Georgian Bluffs might look.

Please be advised about a temporary disruption on the Georgian Bluffs Rail Trail due to maintenance work in the area. Crews will be replacing hydro utility poles in the forest region near the trail, and require access to the trail as the work is completed.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs is pleased to announce that a columbarium has been installed at Oxenden Cemetery, providing more eternal resting spaces in our scenic and peaceful community.

Oxenden Cemetery, located in the village of Oxenden on Georgian Bay, is renowned for its beautiful views and tranquil atmosphere. This is the first columbarium to be installed at Oxenden Cemetery and introduces an alternative to in-ground cremation interments.

Please be advised that due to an equipment failure on July 15, 2024, Waste Management was unable to complete the full pickup route in North Keppel.

Heads up, Georgian Bluffs chicken enthusiasts! The Township of Georgian Bluffs has introduced a new by-law allowing ownership of backyard chickens. Thanks to enthusiastic community feedback, residents in residential zones can now keep up to six hens on properties larger than 0.2 hectares (0.5 acres). Sorry, roosters—this party is hens only!

Danuta Valleau, a dedicated volunteer and resident of Georgian Bluffs, has been honored with the prestigious Ontario Senior of the Year Award in recognition of her exceptional commitment to community service.

The Senior of the Year Awards, presented annually by the Government of Ontario, acknowledge seniors who enrich the social, cultural, or civic life of the community.
