The Township of Georgian Bluffs is excited to host our very first outdoor movie night featuring the highly anticipated film, Guardians of the Galaxy 3. This spectacular event will take place at the Shallow Lake Arena on August 25th, 2023, starting at 7:00 PM.

As the sun sets over the scenic landscape, families and friends will gather to enjoy the thrilling adventures of Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, and the rest of the Guardians of the Galaxy team in this action-packed Marvel movie. Whether you're a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe or simply looking for an exhilarating movie night under the open sky, this event is for you!

The Township of Georgian Bluffs is reaching out to seek input on a proposal regarding the Derby Community Centre to convert the arena space to indoor turf.

As one of three community facilities operated by the Township, the Derby Community Centre in Kilsyth serves as a vital hub for local gatherings and recreational activities. Formerly a natural ice arena, the facility has been repurposed to meet the evolving needs of the community, featuring a concrete arena floor and a second-floor space equipped with meeting rooms and kitchen facilities.

The Township invites all residents of Georgian Bluffs to our upcoming event, Engage GB: Connect and Collaborate, where your voice and experiences can directly influence the decisions that shape our vibrant community. The event will take place at Grey Roots Museum on August 24, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Georgian Bluffs has developed a Draft Corporate Climate Action Plan (CorCAP) to help guide the municipality as it seeks to further reduce its environmental impact. Climate change is a pressing global issue that affects us all, and we want to hear from the community on how you want your municipality to respond.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs is actively examining the management of Short-Term Accommodations (STAs) within the community and is seeking feedback from residents and accommodation operators to inform decision-making.

Georgian Bluffs Township announces the launch of a comprehensive ATV rider safety campaign aimed at ensuring the safety of visitors and residents while preserving the Township's environment. The campaign, conducted in collaboration with the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), will commence in July and continue throughout the summer season.

As of Friday July 7^th, the Township of Georgian Bluffs will begin the annual dust suppressant application program on gravel roads across the community.

Applying the calcium chloride dust suppressant to gravel roads helps reduce the amount of dust generated from passing vehicles during the dry summer months.
