Georgian Bluffs is partnering with Food Cycle Science on an exciting pilot program to help divert food waste from landfill using FoodCycler indoor composting devices.
The initial 100 Units have now been claimed, but don't lose hope! Join the wait list below to be contacted if space becomes available.
The Township still has Earth Machine and Green Cone Backyard Recyclers available for purchase. See the Compost and Yard Waste page for more information.
This innovative indoor composting technology will be available to 100 residents at a discounted rate through this pilot program, allowing you to compost food waste quickly and easily in your own home while providing valuable data about your experience.
How it Works
The FoodCycler is a countertop unit that heats and grinds food waste into a significantly smaller dry, odourless, nutrient-dense by-product. Not only does this help to reduce the amount of waste that goes to landfill, but the nutrient-rich compost can be used in gardens and houseplants.
