New Collection Schedule
The new curbside collection schedule began July 6, 2026, when Georgian Bluffs switched from manual waste pickup to a cart-based collection system for garbage, recycling, and organics.

2026/27 Waste Collection Schedule
New Collection Days
As of July 6, 2026, the following waste collection schedule came into effect:
- Mondays – North Keppel
- Wednesdays – Sarawak
- Thursdays – Derby
- Fridays – South Keppel
Some collection routes were changed with the new schedule. If you are unsure of your collection route you can view the 2026/27 Waste Collection Schedule (above) or search your address in the Curbside Collection Map linked above.
Small/Private Roads
The following road sections are not wide enough to accommodate a cart collection vehicle. These roads will continue to receive manual collection, taking place on Fridays. Waste will be collected weekly, and recycling will be collected bi-weekly. The first recycling collection took place on July 10th.
It was previously communicated that residents remaining on manual collection would receive a weekly Organics Collection service. Waste Management has now updated the Township that the service will not be provided. Please contact Waste Management directly for more information regarding this service.
- Francis Drive, North of Spencer Street
- Mallard Street & Spencer Street, off of Grey Road 1
Shepard Lake Road- Browns Lane and William Street
- North Bass Lake Road, Sutherland Road, Grey Road 17, and Lakeview Drive in the Bass Lake area.
- Dahl Street
- Scott Street
- John Street
- Ivy Drive
- Sections of Hindman Sideroad
*Update from Waste Management regarding Shepard Lake Road Collection:
- Shepard Lake Road was originally on the list of roads staying with Manual Collection.
- Waste Management has updated the Township that Shepard Lake Road will be changing to Cart-based Collection

July 13, 2026 - Derby-Keppel Townline and Sarawak-Keppel Townline Collection Days
There has been some confusion about the Derby-Keppel Townline and Sarawak-Keppel Townline collection schedules. Here are the correct collection schedules for each:
Derby-Keppel Townline
- Derby Schedule (Blue) - Thursdays
Sarawak-Keppel Townline
- Sarawak Schedule (Green) - Wednesdays

July 13, 2026 - Shepard Lake Road Collection Update
Shepard Lake Road is switching to cart-based waste collection. Waste Management previously told residents of Shepard Lake Road they would be on the Manual Collection System, but have since updated the Township they will in fact be receiving waste bins and be on a cart-based collection system.
