    The Township of Georgian Bluffs is forming a Short-Term Accommodations (STA) Working Group and is seeking community members to actively participate in this important initiative. This group will provide valuable insight that will shape Council decisions.

  • Closure Notice: Grey Road 17B

    Grey County will removing Hazardous trees on Grey Road 17B between Youngs Drive and Alpha Street.

    Grey Road 17B will be CLOSED from 13th Street to Alpha Street with local traffic access to Young’s drive from 7:30am – 4:30pm July 5th 2023.

  • Canada Day Holiday Hours

    Please be advised that the Township of Georgian Bluffs administrative office will be closed on Monday, July 3rd for the Canada Day holiday.

    The office will be open on Friday, June 30th for regular hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Public Notice of Pesticide Use

    The Township of Georgian Bluffs intends to control noxious weeds (namely Wild Chervil, Poison Ivy and Giant Hogweed) in accordance with the Weed Control Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. W.5, s. 3. along all rural roadsides under our jurisdiction. 

     

  • Georgian Bluffs Expands Drop-In Pickleball Sessions to Meet Overwhelming Demand

    Due to the enthusiastic response from our participants, Georgian Bluffs is thrilled to announce the expansion of our drop-in pickleball program.

    Starting Monday, June 26th, Georgian Bluffs will introduce extended hours and additional dates for drop-in pickleball sessions across all three arenas.

  • Telling the Story of Nahnebahwequay in Honour of National Indigenous Peoples Day

    As National Indigenous Peoples Day is recognized across Canada, the Township of Georgian Bluffs is paying tribute to the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Nahnebahwequay, a prominent Ojibwe woman whose extraordinary journey has left an indelible mark on our community.

    Nahnebahwequay, also known as Catherine Sutton, was a resident of the former Township of Sarawak and a fierce advocate for the rights of Indigenous Peoples during the mid-19th century.

  • Fire Ban Lifted

    Effective Immediately, the Township of Georgian Bluffs has now lifted the total fire ban that was put in place on June 7, 2023.

  • Road Closure Notice: Elm Street and Taylor Street Intersection

    Please note that the intersection of Elm Street and Taylor Street, on the border between Georgian Bluffs and the Town of South Bruce Peninsula, will be closed on Thursday, June 15 and Friday, June 16 for work required as part of the Elm Street reconstruction project.

    The Township of Georgian Bluffs is taking a proactive stance on road safety by emphasizing the importance of securing loads while you are transporting items in vehicles and trailers. This will prevent debris from coming off trailers or truck beds, minimizing potential hazards on our roads.

You are invited to join the Township of Georgian Bluffs at the Big Bay dock on the morning of July 1st for a pancake breakfast and flag raising to start your Canada Day off right!
