Half Load restrictions for Georgian Bluffs roads are lifted as of Monday, May 1, 2023.

Load restrictions are in effect each year in the spring when roads are weakened by excess water and can be damaged by heavy vehicles.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs will begin the annual street sweeping program this week on April 24, 2023.

The work begins Monday in urban areas of the Township, and will proceed to rural roads and intersections on Tuesday.

UPDATE: Zion Church road has been graded, however due to the forecast rainfall and further grading work anticipated, this road remains closed until water recedes and further grading is complete.

Our public works staff are taking advantage of the good weather to get ready for the freezing rain and wet snow forecast for the weekend. Areas with drainage issues have been inspected and cleared, and roadside trees trimmed to prevent fallen branches.
